Booking Information

• The cost is $565.00 for three nights and $465.00 for two nights. Prices for the season 2023-2024 will be $665.00 for three nights and $565.00 for two nights. This covers accommodation (two nights/two days or three nights/three days), all food (breakfast, lunch, pre-dinner snack, dinner and dessert), track guides and free daily transfers as required. A supplement fee of $75.00 applies to single walkers.
• Ask about our two day package. The cost is $465.00 per person for two nights accommodation, all food, track guides and free daily transfers as required. We can plan the walks to suit your fitness and interests.
• The lodge can take up to 12 people but may be booked exclusively for your party if you have a minimum of 10 in your group.
• We offer discount for children under 14 years, although the tracks are not suitable for very young children.
• We can organise to pick you up from Whangarei airport or coach terminal. Contact us for more details.

On-Line Booking

Check our Availability Calendar and select the start date for your walk, arrival time is 5pm and you start walking the following day. When you select a date on the calendar you will be automatically taken to the booking form page to reserve a three day booking from your selected start date.

Please note that the date you click on is your first night here – arrive after 5pm on that day, walk the following three days and leave on the afternoon of your third (or second) day’s walk ie arrive on Thursday afternoon, walk Friday, Saturday and Sunday, leave on Sunday afternoon.

FILL OUT OUR BOOKING FORM

1. Fill in the On-line Booking Form to reserve space in our lodge for your chosen start date. NB You need to have the availability for two/three days in a row on the calendar for the booking to go through.
2. After completing the Booking Form you will receive an email to say that your places have been reserved. If you do not receive an email withing 24 hours of completing the Booking Form please contact us by telephone.

Payment Options

• Send us your deposit of NZ$200 per person to confirm your booking. Please ensure that we receive your deposit within seven days of booking.
  Direct payment: pay direct into our account, ANZ, Whangarei, 06 0493 0441022 00.
  Please use your name, and the name the booking has been made under, as a reference.
  Overseas Booking: We will take a credit card deposit, please phone us with your details +64 9 434 0571.

• When we receive your deposit we will confirm your places and send you an email confirming your party’s reservation in the lodge.
• Please read our Track Closure information (which also includes our Cancellation Policy).
• On the first night here each individual can pay his or her balance by cash, or eftpos, payment by credit card will attract a 2.5% surcharge.

Disclaimer

The Bream Head Coast Walks tracks run over public and private land, beaches, recreation reserves and roadways. Bream Head Coast Walks Limited (“BHCW”) have endeavoured to take all reasonable steps to make the tracks as safe as possible. The Land owners and/or managers give their permission to use the tracks only on the basis that visitors have read and understood the warnings set out below and understood any additional risks that may have been outlined to them by BHCW on entering the tracks.

It is for the visitor to decide the appropriate safety precautions, but they should include at least the following:

• All visitors must have clothing appropriate for walking and weather
• Visitors must stay by the walking tracks at all times
• Prior to entry onto the tracks, visitors should have notified someone (other than BHCW) where they are going and when they expect to return
• The tracks may be slippery after rainfall so precautions should be taken to prevent falls

BHCW reserves the right at any time and from time to time to make any alterations in the interest of safety or unforeseen circumstances.
All visitors enter the property and walk the tracks entirely at their own risk, and no responsibility will be taken by BHCW or any employees or landowners whose land you cross for any losses, damages, injuries, sickness or expenses incurred by or in conjunction with walking BHCW tracks.
There will be a full safety briefing on your arrival night. You will also be provided with maps and a detailed track guide before you commence the walks.

Track Closure

In extreme circumstances Bream Head Coast Walks Ltd reserve the right to close the tracks. If closed by the company the refund schedule is as follows:

• Before starting – 100%
• After one night – 75%
• After two nights – 30%

Of course if you prefer not to walk due to the weather you are still welcome to stay in the lodge – we have a heat pump to keep you cosy (or cool), there is a variety of reading material and a selection of board games to keep you occupied. We can also recommend other attractions in the area.

Cancellation Policy

Charges $565 per person for three days, or $465 per person for two days

Deposit required $200 per person, within seven days of booking to confirm.

Cancellation of more than one month’s notice a refund of 50% for bookings from New Zealand will be made.

Cancellation of less than one month we are unable to provide a refund.

Cancellation of less than 48 hours of arrival date full payment is required.

We offer discounts for children under 14, although the tracks are not suitable for very young children.
